Prague

In April 2019, Midori and I had the opportunity to spend a week in Prague, Czech Republic. It was a spur of the moment decision when we found out our oldest son Bob would be their on business. Here are some of the images from an amazing trip:

The Prague skyline taken from the grounds of Prague Castle
Prague is definitely a city of bridges, spanning the Vltava River and joining Old Town and New Town with Lesser Town and Prague Castle
Outside Prague Castle a statue of Tomas Garrigue Masaryk overlooks the city. Masaryk gained independence for the republic after WWI and was the first President of Czechoslovakia
St Vitus Cathedral, on the grounds of Prague Castle. Construction began in 1344 and it is the most important cathedral in the Czech Republic
The Vltava River as seen from the Charles Bridge
The public transportation system is an important part of the city architecture. Some cities just lend themselves to black and white.
St George Basilica, constructed in the year 920
